CAPTAIN MARVEL Gains Two Female Writers

Last week, word got out that two women screenwriters were being courted to write the upcoming screenplay for Marvel’s Captain Marvel. Now, Marvel has released a press release  confirming Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman.

Nicole Perlman, you may remember from the writing duo which included James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy. Read below for the official press release.

Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve will together write Marvel’s Captain Marvel, in theaters November 2, 2018, bringing Carol Danvers to the big screen in her first solo cinematic adventure. Fans will recognize Perlman as the co-writer of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, last year’s smash hit introducing audiences to Star-Lord and his crew, while LeFauve most recently co-wrote Disney•Pixar’s next original film Inside Out, which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May before heading to theaters June 19.

Angelina Jolie has also been rumored or direct Marvel’s first female superhero flick. But nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Stay tuned for more.

RUMOR: CAPTAIN MARVEL Already Casted; and More (Possible Spoilers)

Latino Review’s very own El Mayimbe is at it again with another juicy scoop, which even excite Avengers fans even more now that the film is almost a month away.

The site reports that an actress for Captain Marvel has already been chosen and is being kept under lock and key. It has also been rumored that the character will make her on screen debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

In the past during pre production, it was said that Carol Danvers was in many drafts of the story.

The plot details for the Captain Marvel solo film are also under wraps and writer Jim Starlin has been brought in as a consultant.
